Profile Information: Profile pictures and delivery addresses you add to your account.

Transaction Data: Your order history, payment method type (we do not store full card numbers), applied coupons, and delivery addresses associated with each order.

Vendor Data: For vendor accounts — business name, store details, logo and banner images, KYC documents (trade licence, government-issued ID, tax documents), and bank account details required for payout processing.

Content You Create: Product reviews, star ratings, and seller reviews you submit after completing an order.

Usage Data: Products viewed, searches performed, videos watched, items added to wishlist or cart, and time spent on the platform.

Device & Technical Data: Device type, operating system, IP address, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications.

Location Data: Approximate location, used to surface nearby local stores and location-relevant deals.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create, maintain, and secure your account.
• To process orders, handle payments, and facilitate delivery.
• To verify vendor identity and comply with KYC requirements.
• To personalise your experience — showing relevant products, deals, flash sales, and local store offers.
• To send transactional notifications: order confirmations, shipping updates, and OTPs.
• To send promotional push notifications (only with your consent; you may opt out at any time).
• To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain platform integrity.
• To analyse usage patterns and improve our features and services.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With Vendors: Your name, delivery address, and order details are shared with the vendor fulfilling your order.
• With Delivery Partners: Your name, phone number, and delivery address may be shared with courier or self-delivery services.
• With Payment Processors: Transaction data necessary to process your payment is shared with our payment gateway partners.
• With Cloud Providers: We use Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) for secure storage of product images, vendor media, KYC documents, flyers, and videos.
• For Legal Compliance: We may disclose your data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Daily Deals and its users.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure JWT-based authentication for API access, session-based authentication for vendor and admin panels, and restricted access controls for sensitive documents. Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and keep your account credentials private.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our web platform uses session cookies to maintain your login state and remember preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect certain platform features. Our mobile app uses your device's FCM token solely to deliver push notifications you have opted into.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. Order and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us. Note that certain data may be retained as required by law even after account deletion.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
